These are the coolest little radishes. The outside of the radish is light green and the inside a pretty shade of bright pink. When slices into quarters it looks like tiny slices of watermelon. An heirloom discovered in China, the large 3" roots are crisp and tangy. Sometimes known as "Roseheart", or "Red Meat Radish" Watermelon radish seems to be all the rage at farmers markets or local organic stores. The reason is not only the flavor, but the intense interior color just like that of a watermelon. Watermelon radish adds just the right flavor to a stir fry, salad, or just by itself fresh or cooked.
